Beautiful Italianate style historic home situated in the North end of Yarmouth. The home sits on two acres of harbour frontage with majestic trees providing just the right amount of shade for a warm summer day. Built in 1864, the house was almost lost to the wrecking ball in 1994, five years after a devastating fire. Esther and Gil Dares bought the property in 1994 and have lovingly restored it to its former grandeur. They opened their B&B in 1997 when the renovation was complete. There is an extensive collection of before and after pictures so that visitors can appreciate where the Dares' began and an even greater appreciation of how far they have come. With only four rooms, (each with private four piece bath) you get the kind of attention to detail that we all thought was a lost art in service to the public. Breakfast is extensive and almost makes lunch redundant! You will enjoy your stay in this great home.
