He also installed the portholes that are located upstairs from a ship that ran aground at the mouth of Coos Bay. The original Carriage house and tack room are still located on the property. The house was donated to the historical society who then in turn sold it. It was completely renovated & restored starting in 1989. and has period antiques and decor throughout the house. The bed and breakfast was started in 1992 and continues to grow.
